| WOODEN BOWL Wood is both practical and beautiful, healthy to use and soothing to have around. Trees are amongst the oldest living things on this planet and even when they are cut, the wood still expresses much of their natural beauty, mystery and richness. We make salad and fruit bowls as well as ornamental bowls, which are designed with a more decorative purpose. We also make other turned items such as wooden platters, trinket boxes , kitchen utensils, toys, wooden mushrooms, decorative wooden apples, pears and other wooden fruit. All items are one of a kind and cannot be copied due to the uniqness of the wood. All our items are hand turned here in Perthshire using wood from native British trees. Some of these are oak, ash, elm, yew, sycamore and silver birch. This wood imparts its own magic through natural colour, figure and weight. Some items we make are made using spalted wood which, though more difficult to find and turn effectively, often produces wonderfully figured and coloured items. Trees used to be extremely important to ancient inhabitants of these islands.
